Assisted Registration is a day when Scholarship recipients, people with disabilities, and English Language Learners who require specialized support to access Lincoln City Parks and Recreation programs are invited to this registration assistance event. Bilingual staff are available to assist in Spanish.

Programa de sillas de ruedas para la playa
Las sillas de ruedas de playa permiten que las personas con movilidad reducida se desplacen sobre arena, conchas y rocas en nuestra hermosa playa. Hay 3 sillas de ruedas de playa de Lincoln City disponibles para pedir prestadas sin cargo, los 7 días de la semana, de 8 a. m. a 7 p. m. de mayo a octubre, y de 8 a. m. a 5 p. m. de noviembre a abril.
Los casilleros de alquiler de sillas de ruedas están ubicados en el acceso a la playa en el extremo oeste de SW 51st St.
Los alquileres se realizan por orden de llegada el día del alquiler a través de las reservas en la aplicación Movatic. Se ofrece un código de desbloqueo para el día de uso, que se puede obtener después de las 8:00 a. m. del día en curso.
Las sillas de ruedas de playa no pueden transportarse a otro sitio para su uso.

Mobi-mat®
Lincoln City's seven miles of coastline are now even more accessible. Installed during May through Labor Day, Lincoln City's Mobi-mats are portable, non-slip and roll-up, increasing beach access by creating temporary pathways. They are made from 100 percent recycled polyester and are saltwater-resistant. These ocean blue mobility mats are six-and-a-half feet wide, making them ADA compliant and easy to use.
"Accessibility has long been a priority in Lincoln City," said Jeanne Sprague, Lincoln City Parks and Recreation director. "The addition of the Mobi-mats and beach friendly wheelchairs extends an invitation to our beaches to everyone."
We now install Mobi-mats annually at five (5) Beach Accesses throughout the city:

Mobi-mats are an exciting addition to Lincoln City, making our beautiful beaches more accessible for everyone.
In 2022, the city purchased 450 feet of Mobi-mats. In 2024, thanks to a gift from the Friends of Lincoln City Parks & Recreation and Explore Lincoln City, an additional 300 feet of Mobi-mats were purchased and installed. In 2025, Westwind Stewardship Group donated 150 feet more.
"While Mobi-Mats were initially created to provide access for people who use mobility devices such as wheelchairs and walkers, people of all abilities will benefit, making Lincoln City's beaches more inclusive," said Kevin Mattias, ADA coordinator for Lincoln City.

Schooner Creek Discovery Park Playground
The City of Lincoln City furthers its commitment to inclusion with this opening of its first inclusive and accessible playground. Having wheelchair accessibility with multigenerational play components supports usage by those with disabilities and represents the inclusive playground theme — “Where Everybody Finds Their Favorite Spot.”

EnChroma Glasses
Explore Lincoln City brings the colors of the Oregon Coast to color deficient persons with EnChroma glasses, available for free public loan. Usually when people talk about color blindness, they are referring to the most common forms of red-green color blindness, which are genetic conditions caused by a recessive gene on the X-chromosome, but there are other types as well.
EnChroma glasses are available for free public loan at the Lincoln City Community Center in partnership with Lincoln City Parks & Recreation.A credit card is required for reserving EnChroma glasses. A user's card will only be charged if the borrowed glasses are broken or not returned.
Accessible Pool Lifts
Our aquatic center is equipped with lifts to allow pool entry for those that wish to use them.
Pool lifts are equipped at each pool and hot tub and do not require assistance for use.
Hearing Loops
Hearing loops allow individuals with hearing aids or cochlear implants to receive sound directly into their devices. The Lincoln City Community Center currently has hearing loops located at the front desk. Additional hearing loops will also be installed in the lawn area at Schooner Creek Discovery Park during Phase 2 of the construction process.
Universal Changing Table
Universal changing tables allow all individuals access to a bathroom that preserves their independence and dignity. For those who cannot use a toilet to attend to their washroom needs, a universal changing table is essential, especially when visiting public places.
A universal changing table will be installed in the restroom at Schooner Creek Discovery Park during Phase 2 of the construction process.
Senior Center
The Senior Center is open to anyone age 50 and older. Members with e-mail addresses receive a monthly calendar, a quarterly newsletter and notification of special activities. The senior center is a separate non-profit entity located in the Lincoln City Community Center. Call them directly for membership information.
